Bill and Ann Stokes Endowed Scholarship

The Bill and Ann Stokes Endowed Scholarship was established by the Ann Bradshaw Stokes Foundation of Denver, Colorado in memory of Bill and Ann Stokes to provide financial assistance to students majoring in theatre. Ann Bradshaw Stokes was an ardent theatre goer and a playwright herself. In her will, she established the Foundation in order to support students who studied theatre and who are dedicated to a career in the field of theatre. Her husband, Bill established the relationship with the Sam Houston State University. It is the Donor’s intent for the endowment to provide two or more annual scholarship awards to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. Scholarship awards shall not exceed 90% of the earnings of the endowment. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
