Arthur Lynn Talk, Jr. Endowed Scholarship

The Arthur Lynn Talk, Jr. Endowed Scholarship was established by the J.M. West Texas Corporation in 1964. Mrs. Alice Robertson West created this scholarship through the Corporation in memory of her grandson, Arthur Lynn Talk, Jr., who was killed in an automobile accident in 1962 while attending Sam Houston State University as an agriculture major. It is the Donor’s intent for the endowment to provide one or more annual scholarship awards to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
