Ron Mafrige Football Endowment in Honor of Ron Randleman

The Ron Mafrige Football Endowment in Honor of Ron Randleman was established by Ron Mafrige in 2007. Ron Randleman served as head football coach at Sam Houston State University for 23 years and was named “Coach of the Year” five times. Ron Mafrige is a 1960 graduate of Sam Houston State University. It is the Donor’s intent to provide annual scholarship awards for fifth year seniors at the SHSU’s Head Football Coach’s discretion. Annual scholarship awards will be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. Scholarship awards shall not exceed 90% of the earnings of the endowment. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
