Charles and Helen Lindsay Endowed Scholarship in Music

Both Dr. and Mrs. Charles Lindsay received their degrees from then Sam Houston State Teachers College; Dr. Lindsay received his Master of Arts degree in Music in 1941 and Mrs. Lindsey received a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1955. He also taught music at SHSTC and was choir director for the United Methodist Church. This endowment was established by Ann Lindsay Cloud ’57 of Austin, Texas in memory of her parents, Charles, and Helen Lindsay to provide financial assistance to deserving music students at Sam Houston State University.
