Betty Alexander Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Betty Alexander Endowed Scholarship was established in loving memory of Ms. Betty Alexander in 1989 by William and Nancy Blaney, sister and brother-in-law of Ms. Alexander, to financially assist students who are majoring in physical education. Betty Alexander taught physical education at Sam Houston State University. It is the Donor’s intent for the endowment to provide one or more annual scholarship awards to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
