AdvoKAT Peer Educator Internship
The Institutional Diversity & Inclusion Internship Program provides SHSU students the opportunity to work closely with administrators and curriculum managers of programs in specific key point initiatives that build transferable leadership skills for the future. The program supports 2 interns. The interns will be responsible for assisting their program manager and peer leaders with initiatives of the department in 1 of 3 core areas, Program Research/Development, Public Relations/Marketing, and Recruitment/Reporting.
1. External Affairs & Marketing Intern (1) Available:
Role: The External Affairs & Marketing intern will be involved in marketing and communications related to promoting departmental programs, services, and campaigns. They will promote awareness and campus advocacy, build external relationships, and recruit/retain volunteers.
2. Program Development & Research Interns (1) Available:
Role: To research and identify partners with mutual interest, opportunities for collaboration with departments on campus, and develop programs for the Office of Institutional Diversity & Inclusion.
