Academic Affairs Generations Scholarship
The Academic Affairs Generations Scholarship is awarded by Sam Houston State University. This scholarship is awarded to students who are a natural, step, or adopted child or a grandchild of either a currently employed or retired staff member from the non-college Division of Academic Affairs. If a retired staff member they must have a retirement date on or after December 31, 2008. As an Academic Affairs Generation Scholarship recipient, you will receive one thousand dollars ($1000) for the fall and spring semesters following the date of the award.
A recipient must (1) be a full-time undergraduate student in good standing; (2)(a) be a natural, step, or adopted child or grandchild of a currently employed staff member from the non-college Division of Academic Affairs; (2)(b) be a natural, step or adopted child or grandchild of a retired staff member of the non-college Division of Academic Affairs, with a retirement date on or after December 31, 2008; (3) maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.5; (4) demonstrate financial need by completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); and (5) be employed full-time or part-time, and/or involved in community service, and/or be active in an on-campus organization.
