MFA Scholarship

The Sam Houston State University MFA Program in Creative Writing, Editing, and Publishing is pleased to announce new fellowships to begin in the fall of 2020. The three new fellowships, each worth $10,000, will be awarded annually and will be renewable for three years. The fellowships, when combined with a graduate assistantship—which currently provides students with around $9,800 for the academic year in exchange for 20 hours of work each week—will allow the program to offer financial support to fellowship recipients nearing $20,000 per year.
