Cory Spikes Memorial Agricultural Sciences Scholarship

This scholarship is being established in memory of the Donors’ son, Cory Lynn Spikes. Cory passed away unexpectedly in April 2019. This memorial scholarship was established to recognize Cory’s commitment not only to the field of Agriculture, but to all students across Katy ISD and Hardin-Jefferson High School. Deborah and Billy Spikes, Sr. sought to establish this scholarship in their son’s memory because they know how their son always believed in paying it forward. Letters received from Cory’s students highlighted the time, energy, and support he dedicated to them, whether as a teacher, FFA Advisor, or as a father figure. It is his families’ hope that these funds will help a deserving student pursue and complete their Agriculture degree at Sam Houston State University.
