Lee Andrew Franke Endowed Scholarship

Lee Andrew Franke grew up in the community of Industry, Texas, and graduated as Valedictorian from Bellville High School. He continued his education at Sam Houston State University, then Sam Houston Normal Institute, where he received his teacher’s certification in May of 1914. Because of Mr. Franke’s strong belief in the value and importance of education, it is the desire of his family to provide scholarships through this memorial endowment for men and women attending Sam Houston State University as Elementary Education majors. This scholarship was established in loving memory of the donors’ grandfather and father, Lee Andrew Franke.
