Alvin and Angeline Jasin Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Alvin and Angeline Jasin Memorial Scholarship was established by Kenneth S. Lamb of Dallas, Texas in memory of his grandparents, Alvin and Angeline Jasin. Kenneth Lamb earned his Bachelor of Arts in History in 1998 and his BBA in Accounting in 2000, both from Sam Houston State University. Kenneth feels that establishing a scholarship in the Nursing Program will help invest in education especially in fields of great demand such as nursing. Alvin and Angeline Jasin were second generation Americans from Detroit, Michigan. Alvin worked in the automobile industry and retired to Texas in the 1960’s. Kenneth believes the value of an education is the single most important thing a person can do for themselves. It is the Donor’s intent to provide one or more annual scholarship awards for a minimum of $1,500 each to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
