Eva Futch Westmoreland Endowed Scholarship

The Eva Futch Westmoreland Scholarship was established by Mr. and Mrs. George P. Futch, Jr. in loving memory of Mrs. Stace (Eva Futch) Westmoreland, a former professor in the demonstration school at Sam Houston, and long-time resident of Huntsville. Mrs. Westmoreland enrolled in what was then Sam Houston Normal Institute around 1910 and taught in country schools in Rusk County and attended Sam Houston in the summers until she received her diploma.
