K J T Golf Scholarship

John and Sally were both born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. Sally attended and graduated from Wichita East High School and John graduated from Wichita West High School. They were married in September 1974 and have three children, Kenny, Johnna, and Tonya thus the K.JT Scholarship. Sally retired from Masada Home Security where she was the office manager. John retired from the full-time ministry serving St. John’s United Methodist Church in Baytown, Texas on June 30, 2013 and was appointed senior pastor of Leona United Methodist Church and Evans Chapel United Methodist church located in Leon County. Sally and John have from their three children eight grandchildren that are alive and well and they lost one grandson at seventy-one hours of age. They have nine great-grandchildren currently and think that is enough. They live in the Elkins lake addition in their home on the fifth fairway of the Lakes Course, which they purchased in October of 2012 just prior to retiring from the full-time ministry. They hope this scholarship will help in the receiving student athletes quest for a degree in their chosen field here at Sam Houston State University.
